Eye Exams & Vision Health

A comprehensive eye exam includes:

  • Reviewing your medical history and medications
  • Checking visual acuity and eye muscle movement
  • Preliminary tests, including intraocular pressure (eye pressure)
  • Refraction to determine lens power
  • Eye health evaluation using a slit lamp
  • Additional tests for medical conditions as needed

A yearly exam helps monitor your vision and eye health long-term and can detect early signs of medical conditions.

Yes, dilation allows the doctor to examine the back of your eye for signs of disease. While it doesn’t cause pain, you may experience light sensitivity and temporary blurriness up close.

Signs of vision issues include:

  • Blurry vision
  • Loss of vision
  • Crooked or distorted objects
  • Poor night vision
  • Light sensitivity
  • Floaters or flashes of light

If you experience these symptoms, visit our Locations page to find an office and schedule an exam with us.

Eyewear & Contact Lenses
