2024 DOCTORS WITH A HEART PROGRAM A SUCCESS

The 37th annual Doctors with a Heart program, which provides low-income, uninsured patients with free eye exams and eyeglasses, was a success again in 2024. Held each year on Feb. 14, Doctors with a Heart originated in 1987 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, when a local dentist established the national day of service to provide those in need with quality dental care. Over the years, the program expanded to include various healthcare disciplines, including eye care.
